"The carnival comes and goes, and if you wait long enough, it'll always come back to you." - Ryoko, Tenchi Muyo! Playlist: Kiss - Two Mix Feeling... contemplative Thursday, March 21, 2002 Ah, instant noodles, the sign of poverty... Ok, we played against Pinole Valley today, whooped their ass. They're the new school in our league, so I guess you gotta give them some time. Oh well, we won, they lost. I was feeling fluttery the whole time though, because ol' paranoid me kept on thinking that they'd come up with something good right in the middle of the game and beat us... Keiko konked out at 05:35 p.m.
"The carnival comes and goes, and if you wait long enough, it'll always come back to you." - Ryoko, Tenchi Muyo! Playlist: Harujion - Bump of Chicken Feeling... slightly put out Tuesday, March 19, 2002 This is ridiculous. Who's ever heard of jet lag that's lasted a week and a half? I'm still dead tired and needing to go to sleep early every day. One should see me snuggle down into my bed every night like a thirsty man (er... woman) craving water in the Sahara. I must catch up on sleep. When did I lose it all? But my birthday's this weekend and there's no way I can go to bed early like last Friday, when I went to sleep at 7:30 and didn't get up until 8:00 the next morning. Keiko konked out at 08:04 p.m.
"The carnival comes and goes, and if you wait long enough, it'll always come back to you." - Ryoko, Tenchi Muyo! Playlist: {none} Feeling... tired Tuesday, March 19, 2002 Ngggnnnhhh, I really want to go to Cal, but Davis is supposed to have a really good premed, except I've worked so hard in talking Jean into applying for Cal with me, and I'm not sure she wants to go to Davis. "But I heard that the roaches crawl out of the sinks there!" her exact words... It's hopeless. And I was soooo looking forward to a rural environment. (Ngn, not really.) So, what is it going to be? A good premed program and a relaxing environment (with plenty of cow manure on the side), or a WOW university like Cal? So hard to decide... Keiko konked out at 07:54 p.m.
"The carnival comes and goes, and if you wait long enough, it'll always come back to you." - Ryoko, Tenchi Muyo! Playlist: {none} Feeling... a little icked out Tuesday, March 19, 2002 *shudder* I was at B&N today, like I mention earlier, and I happened to walk past the sci-fi shelves (yeah, just happened to walk by) when Orson Scott Card's books caught my eye. Upon seeing Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow, the image of Bean sprung to mind, and with that, came the remembrance of something I'd read a few days ago. Vinita posted on her blog that she'd seen Bean/Petra fics on Fanfiction.net. God I'm so grossed out. I picked up a book called Dragon Bones and started reading after I'd done my hw at B&N. (yeah, me and my obsession with the fantastic and the supernatural...) It's pretty good so far, though I've noticed definite signs of shonen ai innuendo b/w er... whatshisname main character... oh yeah, Ward, and Oreg, especially with that whole slave deal. Maybe it's just my yaoi-obsessed mind and imagination working overtime, but it would make the whole story so much better. Oh, yeah, and I peeked at the end (as I'm wont to do with any book I find interesting), and Oreg turns into a dragon!!! Kyaaaa~~!!! ^-^ Keiko konked out at 07:46 p.m.
"The carnival comes and goes, and if you wait long enough, it'll always come back to you." - Ryoko, Tenchi Muyo! Playlist: Diamond - Bump of Chicken Feeling... satisfied Tuesday, March 19, 2002 Ooohh oooh, the sequel to Kushiel's Dart is already out!! It's called Kushiel's Chosen. I can't believe it! I saw it at B&N today, when I went to study. *sparkles* I'm going to get it as soon as I have some allowance to spend! ^-^ It has such a pretty cover! Kushiel's Dart had a really pretty cover too, emphasis on blue coloring, but Kushiel's Chosen has a deep red coloring (no doubt supposedly sanguine) and shows off the marque on Phedre's back most beautifully! I can't wait to read the book. It's supposed to be a trilogy, but I hadn't known that when I read K'sD. The trilogy is called Kushiel's Avatar. Jacqueline Carey's writing style is so elegant! On the other hand, I'm not feeling very happy, because he hasn't emailed yet. But I've been in a forgiving mood ever since Flo went away, so I'll be patient and wait. *sigh* I suppose I really should get going on the D.C. trip journals. I haven't posted a thing up yet. Alright, I'll type something up tonight after I study for the AP-Statistics exam. Keiko konked out at 07:33 p.m.
"The carnival comes and goes, and if you wait long enough, it'll always come back to you." - Ryoko, Tenchi Muyo! Playlist: Chaccone for Solo Violin - Bach Feeling... very, very pissed off Saturday, March 16, 2002 ARGHHHHHHHHHHh!! The stupid records center at school didn't enroll me in orchestra and econ!! I've been attending those classes for weeks now! They forgot! How could they?! Now I have to go talk to them! The damn kitchen ceiling is LEAKING!! AGGHHHHHHH!!! Fuck! Shit! I can't wait to move out of this house!!! Keiko konked out at 08:04 p.m.
"The carnival comes and goes, and if you wait long enough, it'll always come back to you." - Ryoko, Tenchi Muyo! Playlist: \ Feeling... ecstatic Saturday, March 9, 2002 OOOOHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! I'm back from D.C.!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm both happy and sad about that at the same time. I'm too tired to give a full account of my week, but suffice to say for now that it was VERY gratifying and totally worth the 56 something dollars that I had to pay for it. It was also totally worth the that I spent on random souvenirs as well. Well, I've already started writing a recount of the D.C. week, so expect part 1 to be up sometime within the next few days. Ok, I know this is a little late, but here's my New Year's Resolution: 1. Do well on the standardized tests (you know which ones I mean) 2. Get contact lenses before school ends 3. Get ears pierced by end of year 4. Learn how to dance by the time I'm 20 5. Go bungee jumping when I'm 22 That was really crappy, but you have to allow for some ignorance, since this is the first time I've ever made a new year's resolution. The last 3 were totally inspired by the trip I just came back from. It's too hard to explain. Maybe you'll get it if you read my a-week-late journal of the trip. When I put it up. Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Bay Area weather is so niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiceeeeeee!! I heard it rained really hard here. Too bad I missed it. Keiko konked out at 09:25 p.m.

"The carnival comes and goes, and if you wait long enough, it'll always come back to you." - Ryoko, Tenchi Muyo! Playlist: {none} Feeling... mildly pissed Wednesday, February 27, 2002 The ugliness of the first pages are driving me crazy. With a gaping hole at the top of the archive pages where the picture is supposed to be, I'm almost tempted to pay 0catch money to get the hotlinking option. Dammit. Or maybe I should just sign up for another virtue or envy account and move my entire blog to over there, except that will take soooo much work, setting up the previous pages as well as the current one... Right now it's so ugly... I hate life. I hate not being able to edit archived pages. There's no way to email the creator of pitas about this either... Shoot! Keiko konked out at 11:53 p.m.
"The carnival comes and goes, and if you wait long enough, it'll always come back to you." - Ryoko, Tenchi Muyo! Playlist: {none} Feeling... ashamed Wednesday, February 27, 2002 The demon inside of me has taken over. I will not be the most polite (nor sane; nor calm) person to get along with for the next few days. Hopefully it'll pass in a few days and I can go be being normal again, whatever that means for me. I've come to associate normal with quiet, minimal human contact, and lots of books. Keiko konked out at 11:30 p.m.
"The carnival comes and goes, and if you wait long enough, it'll always come back to you." - Ryoko, Tenchi Muyo! Playlist: {none} Feeling... {none} Wednesday, February 27, 2002 *twitch* God I need a break. A break like a real break, and a break from life. A break from the world. A French essay is asking me to write about a danger to the world, and I've decided to write about humans. That's right. Humans are the danger to the world, what with their selfishness, greed, bloodlust, and neverending warfare. Damn I wish I wasn't human. Hmm... Maybe I'm really just a sloth dreaming that I'm human. Well, if I am, this is one suckass long nightmare. I don't want to go to school anymore. I don't want to play violin anymore. Sometimes I wonder if it's really worth going through all this trouble every year and never be good enough to come in first. There's always that one person right above me, and no matter how hard an effort is put into it, it's just not enough. I'd quite, but my pride won't let me. Damn my pride. But without pride, then at this point in time I won't be much. I need a break from being human and humans in general right now... Keiko konked out at 10:03 p.m.

Wednesday, February 27, 2002 Oh I want to cry! >_< My precious 0 TI-83+ calculator is currently sitting on the metal book-holding rack of the desk I sat at when I retook the PSATs yesterday afternoon (because of the stupid anthrax problem leading up to us not getting our scores from New Jersey). At least, I hope it's still sitting there, because then it means that no one has taken it and that I can still get it tomorrow. AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to go do math homework withOUT my TI-83+, instead with my 8th grade TI-36X Solar now. Then climb into bed and whimper the night away. *smacks head* How could I have been so careless! It's the lack of sleep getting to me, I swear. I've had an absolutely horrible week so far. And I blame it all on lack of sleep. And stress. I lost 2 games to some newbie (who could slam really well) today, because I was tired and coach still made me run 2 laps... -_- Keiko konked out at 09:52 p.m.

"The carnival comes and goes, and if you wait long enough, it'll always come back to you." - Ryoko, Tenchi Muyo! Playlist: Tentai Kansoku - Bump of Chicken Feeling... worn out Thursday, February 21, 2002 I've been calling it the PTA meeting, but it was actually a schoolboard meeting. =P Performed there yesterday. They were inside, we were outside. It was the most unappreciative audience I've ever had... But I suppose most of the teachers there were too worried about budget cuts to their department to listen to us. We represented the music department, though. Speaking of teachers... >_>; I saw my 7th and 8th grade math teacher Mr. Disston (the one who made the class read Robert Frost's poem "The Road Not Taken", now one of my favorite poems.), my 7th grade math club teacher Mr. Regent, my current math analysis teacher Ms.Drew, as well as my social living teacher (dun remember her name) from over the summer. >_< It was so weird, seeing all my teachers there like that! I also saw one of the kids I coach at Franklin. Don't know what she was doing there. The strangest part was seeing Mr. Disston, though, cos suddenly I felt like I was back at Willard... It kinda sucked to perform there, but we get a special project credit for it, so I'm happy about that. ^_^ Had practice today, played game with Christi, Hao, John, and some guy whose name I don't know. First Hao was my partner, then John. Christi played with the guy whose name I don't know, and Bhuvan (sp?). Me n Hao won the first two games, then John and I won the second two games. XD It was so fun. Poor newbies got stuck practicing with coach, though. Poor them. Both John and Hao made me play front. *scowl* Damn slammers. Oh I love Thursday nights, cos I can slack off after I.S. classes! Too bad I have to go to a Close-Up meeting in 1/2 hour. I was doing Math analysis hw in Stat class today, and my brain was so screwed after dealing with nth roots of unity shit, so when Mr. Weitz passed out classwork, I couldn't even do it because my brain kept on going back to math analysis. Thank gawd he said it could be turned in tomorrow. Speaking of stat, we got our tests back today. I got 14/16 A-. Pretty good. Missed a point cos of one problem that I couldn't remember half of the answer to. Still, pretty good. Went to library yesterday, checked out John Milton's "Paradise Lost". Some of the poem is impossible to understand without extensive background knowledge. Thank gawd for footnotes. I'm not even finished with Book I. It'll take a while, especially since I can only work on a little at a time. Forgot to get Hemmingway's The Sun Also Rises. That means I'll have to go tomorrow. =P Yay, art class tomorrow. Get to work on Prince William again. ^_^ I've set up a kind of schedule for myself. Hw during the day and evening, then watch bits of the Chinese drama with my mom, go to bed and write a chapter of fic, read a bit of book/poem, then sleep. Of course, with all that extra stuff crammed in before bed, it means I only get about 6 hours of sleep per day. The tiredness is building up, I can feel it. If I don't catch up on sleep over the weekend, I'll fall over within a week. Or two. Wow, Close-Up is like in two weeks! I can't wait. Oh shit, I have to read that book Mr. Teel passed out... >_> Dammit... Keiko konked out at 06:13 p.m.
